Olight S2 has no mode memory

I think you need to go through the comments again. The S2 is mainly going to appeal to flashaholics, and are usually aware of what mode they left it in. I would of preferred in the lumen range of ~700 so the light doesn't get as hot and memory for turbo is retained. I have lights that require a...

    NEW Olight S2 - 950 lumens

The turnon and shutoff time for ZL is much longer, I'm not experiencing any lag with shutoff time with an S1, I'll test it out when my S2 comes in. Can you comment on the 10 minute reset on turbo?

    *new* Olight S1 - XM-L2, (R)CR123

Just recieved an S1 Ti, nice and compact. Olight RCR fits with no issues. No memory mode on moonlight, doesn't affect me as I don't use moonlight mode. Compared to S10 NW, the tint is much more pleasing. What I"m not happy about is the 10 minute reset back to low. Had I known this or read this...

Anyone see the new Olight I7R????

True, the reason why you'd use a 10440 is to get absurd lumens out of a very small package., I don't get the i7R.

Anyone see the new Olight I7R????

No. The i7R is far from being the worlds brightest AAA flashlight, the Thrunite and others also claim 120 Lumens, so according to Olight, the i7R is brighter despite having the same lumen count? Having said that, the Thrunite Ti3 has been tested (by SB) to produce around 175 lumens on a single...

Led Lenser will rule Shot Show 2015 !

Not true. While not every single torch LL makes uses a driver setup, they have always had flashlights in the lineup that did utilise drivers. This has been the case for at least the past 4-5 yrs. If you look at flashlights made today, most can't handle full power for more than a minute for few...

Led Lenser will rule Shot Show 2015 !

So you stay away from companies that make high priced flashlights, but you're ok with SF, which costs much more, especially here in Oz? Do some research on how much SF's cost in retail stores, then come back to this thread. You just contradicted yourself. I've seen 6P's retail for around $250...

    Olight i3S (XP-G2, 1xAAA) 2013/2014 review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO+

Excellent review, as usual SB. There is one AAA flashlight missing from that group shot imo, Svitac 100. It's a single output, 100 lumen AAA flashlight, with a tailcap. It's only $10, but I reckon it will give the majority a run for it's money, with the exception of the Ti3 and L3.

Zebralight SC62 cw and nw images and Beamshots

I got a rude shock the first time I used one as well. With mine, at the 10 seconds mark its pretty warm, by 25 seconds it's uncomfortably hot. The temperature rises very rapidly, and I mean rapidly, as you've found out.

Review: Olight SR Mini update, beamshots, compare, 3x18650/6xCR123A; max 2800 lumens

Re: Review: Olight SR Mini update, high-output flooder, 3x18650/6xCR123A; max 2800 lu Great review and piciture, kj75. I prefer the original, seems as though the switch will be easier to find in the dark, a raised switch is always going to be easier to find. Plastic is more hard wearing and...

    Olight M3X (XM-L2, 2x18650, 3x/4xCR123A) Review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO + more!

Oh no, you misunderstood me. I wasn't referring to the deal, rather the image of the specs. Low mode is stated at 400 Lumens, everywhere else it's 300 Lumens. That image has the updated specs for throw for the 1200 LM version. This is the image below.

    Olight M3X (XM-L2, 2x18650, 3x/4xCR123A) Review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO + more!

From what I can recall, the 1200 LM version has 584m of throw, the 1000 LM versoin has 580m throw. The other difference between the two is the storage case. The 1000 LM has the red latches on the storage case, the 1200 LM version has blue latches and different graphics, in line with their new...

High CRI - My Oh My!

Erm, no. What is desierable for photography and cinematography is daylight balanced light sources, not high CRI. High CRI and daylight balanced are two different things. To be honest, neither of them matter in photography, you are using tools to correct for WB, such as expo disc to accurately...

High CRI - My Oh My!

So what you're trying to say is that colors are more accurate using high CRI flashlights? If so, then this is a mis conception. CRI has nothing to do with color accuracy, the temperature does. A low temperature high CRI light will not render whites as whites. There are advantages and...
