    Dodge dart headlight bulbs?

I currently drive a '13 Dart with the factory HID headlamps. I have been impressed with their performance, especially since the car it replaced (2003 Stratus) had perhaps the worst headlamps I've ever experienced. The light pattern on the Dart appears similar to the H4 Cibie lamps on my Wrangler...

Off-road lighting project - opinions wanted

As much as I'm pre-disposed to like the Cibie lamps (I have their headlights on my Jeep) I decided to go with the Hella 4000 lamps as well. I already ordered and received the Euro beams (without cornering lamp) and am waiting to order the Cornering beams when Amazon puts them back on sale...they...

    What's with the blue headlights?

This is the same argument I use with the various dipwads on Jeepforum that claim their crappy HID kit doesn't bother others - most of us know that flashing the d-bags that insist on running illegal lighting know that it won't do any good since they seem to enjoy the attention. It's no different...

    Where does Autopal fit in?

    Awesome info - thank you!

    Where does Autopal fit in?

What I don't understand is why Cibie stopped making the Z-beam - they already spent the development money and it was a well respected product, so why discontinue it? I can understand discontinuing the Biode and the Amplilux since they were more complex with the dual bulbs and all...but the...

    "Good" set of driving lights?

Ha! At least those Hellas are better than what US spec Wranglers came with! Anything is an improvement over the lousy Wagner sealed beams that we got.

A Caveat about Buying Used OEM Lights

This is why I love my Wrangler. Basic 7" round lamps that are easily replaced with one of many options that greatly improve performance. It's also why I hate my Stratus daily driver with it's crappy "complex reflector" lamps that have such poor optics that no bulb in the world (even the well...

Updating 7" round sealed beam headlights

If you are adding relays/wiring, the Osram Rallye 70/65w +50 bulb seems to be well regarded around here if you don't mind a slight overwattage bulb.

Updating 7" round sealed beam headlights

Cibie Z-beams were popular and readily available in the 80's but have been long discontinued. They have the typical sharp cutoff of an ECE lamp, but the kickup to the right (on a US lamp anyway) was more of a "step" than a "slash" like the current Cibies. I'm not sure how different the rest of...

Updating 7" round sealed beam headlights

Is it safe to assume that doesn't apply to lights that are used exclusively offroad and kept covered whenever on-road? (i.e. my Jeep and pending project) Back to the OP's situation...does Hella make a Bi-Xenon projector fitted to a 7" round housing similar to the now defunct Xe7? I wasn't aware...

Updating 7" round sealed beam headlights

The Cibies would definitely look stock-ish to most, only a few discriminating folks would recognize them and know what they are. The cornering or drive beams can come on however you want them to - it's all in the wiring. My personal preference is to wire them up on their own independent switch...

Updating 7" round sealed beam headlights

If budget is a concern, go with the Cibie H4 lamps. While they certainly don't offer the performance of the Bi-Xenon projectors, they are a dramatic upgrade over the stock sealed beam on the car now (at least they seemed like a dramatic upgrade to me on my Jeep!). You might be able to get a...

Help!!! I need a better headlights for Ford Van than stock H6054 sealed beam.

They are actually in Highlands Ranch. I've used them before when I was out in Denver on vacation. Stern was out of the Cibie 7" lamps without the city light and I didn't want to wait. I found an ad for Headlightservices on craigslist and they had the Cibies in stock. They were nice to deal with...

Off-road lighting project - opinions wanted

Thanks for the reply. I was talking to a fellow at Aardvark international out of Whittier CA earlier today, and he claims to have the Oscar SCs in both the dive and cornering beam in stock - assuming that's true, would you still go with the Hellas or would you go for the Cibies? Also, I can't...

Off-road lighting project - opinions wanted

This spring I plan on adding some offroad lighting to my '06 Wrangler. I'm looking at a couple of different set-ups and wanted some opinions. First off, my Jeep already has Cibie H4 lamps with Narva Rangepower +30 bulbs and an upgrade harness. Nice setup that I'm very pleased with. Now for...
