My MagLite 2AA LED broke after a 4" fall onto the kitchen, normal?
I had it on and laid it on the countertop only to hear it drop and turn off. Now it doesn't turn on anymore. Is this the kind of quality Maglite carries? I thought they were better than this?

EDIT: dropped four feet, not inches.
They're on sale for 40pack for $10 for both AA or AAA. I'm thinking about picking up a pack and using them with a lowend $20 light from DealExtreme or possibly the Eagletac P100A2.
I plan on just having the lights around the house, when i go out to take the trash out weekly, walking...
i knwo i'm asking for a lot but i'm curious if there's a flashlight, don't really need it to be compact, that i could use at night for camping or looking into the backyard, and sometimes i would need a bright lamp for working in the garage at night where i have a puny CFL 15feet away. or any...
great, i'd like to thank everyone for helping me become a flashaholic! ;) :)
as for leaving the 18650s unattended, do they explode violently, hiss a little then a small pop, what should i expect pretty much in case something happens. i'm also assuming i should keep the charger isolated from...
i searched and people are saying that the 18650 cells from AW are the best, is AW the brand?
are 18650 safer than RCR123A but not as safe as AAs? which charger should I go with?
This will be my first light and I'll be using it when walking home at night.
P100A2
+uses AA batteries
+cheap
-longer than the C2
P100C2
+longer runtime than the P100A2
+cheap
+shorter than the P100A2
-uses CR123A batteries (worried about "exploding" issues)
T100C2
same pros/cons as P100C2...
nice, i think i may go with the P100A2 and get the tail end later on, it's on eagletac's site but the page to the tail end doesn't work :/
the fenix tk20 just looks funky haha, not a fan of the rubber grip.
what's the difference between AA and CR123A and 18650 batteries?
that liteflux lf2xt looks pretty good but it's too expensive for a light i'll use sparingly on my keychain :/
how many lumens is the inova microlight? i just put in new batteries and it's much brighter than it was before but we'll see how long it'll last this time.
in the meantime, i'm...
The Microlight seems to die very quickly... luckily I have like 10 spare CR2016 batteries around from buying a bunch of cheap LED lights for $5 haha. I read a review that the E01 has similar output to the Photon Freedom, and the Photon Freedom is similar to the Inova Microlight.
Would it be...
The Eagletac P100A2 seems like the kind of light I'm looking for but it's just missing these features:
-crenellated front bezel (probably will never use it anyways)
-a tail cap that allows it to stand up to use as a candle
Is there a special tail end cap that I can buy or another flashlight...
Re: Tank007 single AAA the best bang for buck CREE LED keychain light?
i looked into the Fenix L0D and found one on ebay new for $32.50 shipped. any problems with them? It says it's Digital 5, is that like Q5? Is this CREE also...
