What kinda battery testers do you use?

    I use a cheap multimeter :grin2:

NEW Lowes Task Force 3W "CREE" 2C 150+ lumens (Part 3)

I don't understand why the switch is on the tail cap ! Do they really expect one to use this heavy light in the manner one holds a tactical light? A nice side clicky (like Maglite 3D) would have been great. (BTW, the Maglite 3D's clicky is great! I don't know the technical term for...

2AA vs. 2 consecutive uses of AA

for EDC surely, I will go for a form factor smaller than a 1AA, maybe a AAA or something smaller. For EDC purposes I really don't foresee using my light more than 15 minutes at max.

2AA vs. 2 consecutive uses of AA

but if one uses rechargeable cells, then this problem of varying power will not exist, correct?

New Cree + light OP reflector version: Energizer 1W 1AA @ Target

saw these at my local target. they had both the older version and the new cree versions. I thought that maybe the bar code numbers would be different for these two versions, but no, there was no difference whatsoever in the packing! :shakehead the flashlight does look good though.

2AA vs. 2 consecutive uses of AA

no, I have carried my existing 2AA (Rayovac 3watt) light on hiking trips, where I would invariably get late and would have to use my light.

2AA vs. 2 consecutive uses of AA

ya, I guess to get the best of both worlds I should get a AAA and a 2AA light. but i am still thinking about the 2AA vs 2 consecutive use of 1AA.

2AA vs. 2 consecutive uses of AA

Looking at the LD10-LD20 lumen disparity, can it be generally assumed that a 2AA light will have more light power than a 1AA light?

2AA vs. 2 consecutive uses of AA

Seems like it is going to be an unfair comparison, at least in terms light output. The higher voltage on the 2AA light will beat the lower voltage on the 1AA light. eg.: noticed that Fenix LD20/L2D boasts a max of 180 lumens while LD10 has a max of 120 Lumens. So, 2AA: Pros: * Higher light...

2AA vs. 2 consecutive uses of AA

Contemplating whether to buy a 2AA or a single AA light. In Urban landscapes I guess form factor is important and a AA light would be the best. But for hiking/camping a 2AA light would be good. While that was my original reasoning, I then feel that if a 1AA light can help me pass a considerable...

    Fenix LD20 vs L2D Q5

droeun: Where did you find the LD20? 4sevens does not carry it, right? Please ignore the questions. Found it.

    Dorcy 1W (1AA) Light

EricTarini: Yes, that is the one that I have. kramer5150: I will try to see if the local target here does stock the energizer 1AA. As Fenix has been recommended and since it seems a good choice, where can I buy the LD20? 4Sevens only offers the older L2D CE. thanks,

    Dorcy 1W (1AA) Light

Got this flashlight for 19.99 at Microcenter. How can I found out if this is a Cree LED or a Luxeon LED? http://img178.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0056vd2.jpg I have not opened it yet, 'cause I want to know more about the LED. I think it would be better for anyone to buy one expensive...
