A deer ran into our car

Suicidal deer. ... A while back I was doing some computer programming in Coudersport, PA. It's middle of nowhere, but I kinda liked that. Anyhoo, it was a little before deer hunting season but one of the workers who lived there said a deer just walked into his garage and hung itself. He said it must have been really depressed. What could he do? Rather than letting it go to waste he made a superb smoked venison sausage among other things.

Either that or... I didn't see the event and I wouldn't condone it, but I'd bet that particular deer suffered an internal injury that was quite similar but a couple weeks premature of what happens during hunting season.

I was in the car once when we hit a medium-sized fawn (well, it hit us) less than 300 feet from our own driveway. No damage to the car aside from a few hairs left behind. The deer was ok enough to run away.
