Its crazy stuff taubada, but i know 110% vinh has help push the boundaries all round. If it was not for him, acebeam and other manufacturers would be no where near where they are today. Vinh custom builds a light today, within 6 months(or so it seems) acebeam or who ever have something close. Of course it works both ways, vinh works his magic inside, the host comes from manufacturers. I am pretty sure, if it was not for vinhs innovation, we would never be seeing lights much over 6000-8000lm. Now we have x70 pushing near 60k.................that would not have happened without vinhs work over the last year or so.

Cast your mind back, even a couple of years.., who would have thought that we would have a completely useable, commercially available, HEAD TORCH, that could put out 3400 lumens....? Technology is moving so fast...!!! 

I know exactly what you mean...

I wonder where we'll be at in another five or ten years? Hard to imagine.

I am trying to decide between specs 15, 16, 23, or 24. Any recommendations?

$160 Spec 15: 70.2 4000K + Samsung HCRI 4000K + Samsung HCRI 4000K (Recommended)
$160 Spec 16: 70.2 4000K + Nichia 219c 5000K + Nichia 219c 5000K 219c is nice but might have a slight purple tint with no reflector
$160 Spec 23: 70.2 3000K + Samsung HCRI 4000K + Samsung HCRI 4000K I enjoy XHP35 HI 3000K. I have not enjoyed 3000K in 70.2 reflector varieties yet. Have not tried in this light to know.
$160 Spec 24: 70.2 3000K + Nichia 219c 5000K + Nichia 219c 5000K

For me this light is great diffused. I would highly recommended it on neutral tints as there are more color shifts from hot spot to corona to spill.

Very excited to use as a caving headlamp!

Would spec 15 have ability to have both Samsung LED running at same time?

And approx run time with both on?

Would spec 15 have ability to have both Samsung LED running at same time? Of course. All the Dual white light sides are on at the same time. NO point to have them one at a time :p

And approx run time with both on? Sorry Cant answer you this. 100 Lumen and 21700 cell = VERY VERY long.

Someone might think the officer needs help. Maybe I'll have you do it with red/green then they'll send Santa some help

LOL Red and Blue strobe would be cool. I like Slow blink and strobe. SOS is useless for me.

I have been using head lamps more than anything recently, still the h2r nw which has a beautiful beam with an edge of warm. Just makes life easier for work, plus its always with me!(on my head lol)

The tint on my H2R NW 4000k is one of the best tint I have ever seen on a headlamp. Too bad it is not high CRI. I've been using the H15 most because it is floodier for picture taking and I like the ring brightness control.
