I am still on your first interest list, and for sure will want one of the v1.1's.

I would definitely take two of the improved version (bigger heat sink):

1. 1.4A 3 mode R5
2. 1.4A single mode R5

Im really interested in the SST-50/90 option. I would like to see a P60 drop-in like this driven to around 3 amps at the tail, and Hi/Lo modes. Put me on your potential purchase list when you make these.

I'm exploring MC-E/P7/SST-50/90 options as well.. and maybe even a TIR :D

Some good news and some bad:
Bad:
Keeping track of all the waitlists are much too confusing and time consuming - I spend so much time figuring out who is in what place that it takes away from actual construction. After I fufill the original requests in the feeler thread, I'm just going to openly sell them as they are built.

Good:
I just did the math, and it appears that the new heatsink is a 41.76% increase in volume over the old one..
Someone check my math. Volume of the old heatsink was .02945 in3, new heatsink is .04175 in3.

Anyway, when the 1.1's are ready to sell (I just ordered LED's) I will post another thread up.

Anto,
I got my XPG R5 module a couple of days ago. I got to try it out last night. I like it, Good beam pattern, good tint (for me, I still prefer the bright white tints) and real darn bright!

Worth the wait. I think that I may just buy another when you get them built.

When you start new thread please link to this one.
I'd like 3-mode and will hop-on pronto.
Thanks & regards,

oh boy, does anto still make these drop-ins?

just got one of these bundled in a p60 host from another member, it's a single mode driven at 1.4a. do these drop-ins have a low voltage indicator/warning? kinda like how the nailbender drop-ins start blinking when the voltage drops below a certain value?

These are dandy modules. If he is not making these any longer, he should start back. IMO, the best non-malkoff standard P60 out there. He made me one with a cool tinted R5 XPG, and beside the awesome beam, it's tint is nicer than any warm or neutral led I have ever seen. He should make them again and expand to other emmitter/driver options.
