I have two 14.4V NiMH packs which need to be rebuilt.

Does anyone have first-hand experience with a good quality and trustworthy service which does this?

Thanks in advance.

If I were about 2-3 months ahead on my battery tab welder, I'd say I could do it. But at the moment its just a box of caps and semiconductors.

I know lux luthor has a battery tab welder, but I dont know if he does work for others or not. Its not Li-Ion so the assumed risk should be pretty low.

I have a pair of 4.8V Eneloop packs Lux made for me at least 4-5 years ago, and they're still going strong. I don't think he does it any more, though.

I suggest you do it yourself! Buy the same type of batteries (but with tabs). I rebuilt a power tool battery a few months ago because I could not find a replacement anywhere. I did have to cut the plastic with a hacksaw, but a dab of glue covered with electrical tape hides the cut. Work carefully. Insulated anything that could short.
