Quick Question for those of you in the know!!

What would be the paint of choice to revive some of my heavily used black flashlights, IE:Surefire, Wolfeyes, etc...

The $$nicer$$ lights I have, all look to be sprayed with the same finish......Is this anodized?? Can I paint them to revive them?? The paint isn't glossy, nor is it flat... Perhaps Satin, of sorts?

Any help would be kind hearted!!

Thanks!!

A Sharpie works just fine for me on the worn parts. :)

Actually I want to know what some of you guys do too...

On nice lights the hard anodizing is not paint, it is the growth of the oxide layer on the surface of the metal. Some people just use a Sharpie for small dings. I have read Birchwood Casey touch up which used for guns is effective and longer lasting.

:poke:

If you really wanted to repaint the whole thing ......

You might consider Black BBQ grill paint .

Thats my first thought for it.

I have had a couple of my lights DuraCoated. There is a wide range of colors and the result is pretty nice but it still doesn't have the same durability as the original anodize. Still I am happy with my coatedl lights.

Some hardware stores also have black refrigerator epoxy paint. This is one tough paint. It is a spray paint though.
