I have a string of 24 "icicle lights" with a remote that cycles thru colors & flashing patterns. Recently the 12 lights on the "far end" became independent. They do not turn off when I use the control OFF button. When I Cycle, they change pattern but different from the "near" end, which responds normally to the control. Once I kept cycling and got them in synch for a little while. Right now the near end is off, and the far end is lit and changes its patterns. Not sure if its constantly cycling or doing semi-random changes and timing of changes.
Any chance of fixing this by opening up the sealed control box? Could this be water gotten into one of the lights on the string?
Any way to snip off the far end entirely?
This is a few years old and the available patterns are much better than this years offering -- can do various holiday colors, like red/white/blue for Fourth of July.
