Has anyone else noticed the new L6 has a grainy anodized fnish? The older one I have has a nice finish equal to that of more expensive lights. The new one is almost chalky.

Has anyone else noticed the new L6 has a grainy anodized fnish? The older one I have has a nice finish equal to that of more expensive lights. The new one is almost chalky.

It's a matte finish, evidently, similar to my Emisar D4 cyan and my D1s grey flashlights. Some hypersensitive people describe it as 'nails on a chalkboard', but I find that to be hyperbole.

Anyhow, the quality is still there, there's just an unorthodox feel to the light, similar to the ArmyTek's 'rubbery' coating on some of their lights.
