CR123A - Slightly off-balance?

I've got two Surefire CR123As in my SureFire 6PX Pro. They're the cells it came with. I've been keeping an eye on them, and they've stayed pretty well matched. Now, the front cell is at 40% and the rear cell is at 60%, according to my ZTS tester.

Is it safe to keep running these cells, or should I mark them for single-cell use and put fresh ones in?

The date codes are the same.

Hello Awyeah,

While not ideal, I think it would be OK to continue using them. Just keep an eye on them.

If you happen to leave the light on for an extended period of time, be sure to shut it off as soon as you see a flicker or change in the beam. When the lower cell hits around 10% it is time to change cells.

Thanks for the advice.

I ran the light for several minutes and now they're both showing 40. My guess is that they are very closely matched, hovering right around the threshold between the 40% and 60% indicators on the ZTS tester.
