Yup .... a normal D cell will work with these cut downs also 18650 Li-ion cells with a sleeve.

OK, I am updating thread #1 with the new pending orders. I will wait a little bit more to see who else wants "in" this second wave of custom 1D's. Once I close the list, I will place an order for all of the Mag's at once.

Guess what, they got my email with the addition of your Purple body just in time, and they updated the order before shipping it today. Yes, the order with the bodies was shipped today - I will send updates when they arrive late this week or early next week

Started the process with the blue body:

Cut edge:

Cut relieve for O-ring and get ID to the right diameter before threading:

Trim the edge to protect the o-ring (before/after):

Re-thread:

Test-fit tailcap:

Finished job:

Same with the first copper body:

Almost time to go to bed
