How tight are these? Do they freely spin??

These do spin (kind of the nature of the beast with this design)...however, I believe there is enough tension to keep it from spinning under normal use:thumbsup:. If you were really worried about it you could always put a slight "wave" in the ring and get it locked down pretty tight.
