DaFab 007 XPG upgrade

Is it a hard upgrade to do, I would like to upgrade my 007 to a Q3-5A.

Cree warm/neutral tone LEDs are the shizzle :twothumbs

Just ordered some more heatsinks and neutral XP-G's and should have them by the weekend or early next week.:thumbsup:

I've been seriously thinking of contacting DaFab to do this mod for me, but I am wondering if it is worth waiting for the new Cree XMs.

I am by no means an expert on which LED works best in which reflector, but the P4 looks to be a larger die LED than the XP-G and I am wondering if this would lend itself to working well with the larger size of the XM die.

As soon as I get my hands on one of those suckers I'll let you know.
I have an extra heatsink set aside for just for that purpose.:naughty:

Doing a Cree in there would be a difficult unless your 007 is already a Cree version. Unfortunately I don't have a lathe, so turning down an McR19XR is not an option. The Heatsink for the cree version is also different than the seoul version.
If your's is the cree version, then yes, I can do it..:thumbsup:
I do have some XP-E's in Q3-5A that might work with the McR18s in the 007...:thinking: I will have to try it and report back.
