I present a bit of a puzzle, and hope one of the esteemed members might know what this is.
I inherited a box of jewelry and pocket items from my Grandfather, (died in the 1970's) and among some nice old doodads and flat gold vest-pocket knives, was this nicely made aluminum (?) tube with a screw in tip that has a sprung plunger of sorts. Only one open end, so what does it plunge?
Any ideas, as I have no info on this thingie?
Thanks,
Kevin
