Electroluminesent glow stick

A few years ago I bought several electroluminescent glow sticks that ran on a single AA battery. You could get a variety of colors and either a full or half cylinder of electroluminescent material. They ran forever on a single battery. They were good for general low light illumination (like a night light) in the house in a power failure.

I have since lost them and would like to replace them with the same or a better solution. Unfortunately I can't find them. Is anyone familiar with these or can offer another suggestion?
