was busy with work but have been following the thread.

i may not be able to join all saturdays from 31st july up to 28th august as i need to have weekly trip to jakarta each weekend in August. Please share the story if the trip goes ahead ok!

Looks like 31st July could be a go, depending on the weather.

This is a adventure trip into the unknown, so pack light and waterproof your stuff,bring water, first aid and insect repellent (important due to the wet weather), and wear hiking shoes. I am sorry guys I made a promise too fast. I forgot that it is my grandma's birthday celebration this 31st July. Was only reminded by my mom this morning. I will try to make it on 14th Aug if there is going to be another one. Wonder when I could get to see the Tri-V?

Just finished hooking up a XP-G R4 Neutral into a DX flashlight body

Will be bringing that along to test the difference between XP-G R4 Neutral driven at 1.4A and a XP-G R5 Seraph clone driven at 1A...

I went pass the entrance of the trail today around 10pm and it scare the hell out of me even from the outside. I am going to need a Minimum of 5 person for this adventure trip so if we don't get 5 person on 31st, we can meet up on the 14th.

Again, I have to remind everyone that this is an adventure trip that can last 5 min or 12hrs. We could, and can get lost in the forest, so I expect everyone to be prepared with 12hrs of power for lights and supplies, cos you won't see a thing inside once it is dark and chances are, no one will hear you scream.

I will bring along nightstick to mark the trail, I will appreciate if a few can bring walking stick along for defense purposes too.

I have a pack of small glow sticks for trail marking. My only concern is human interference. I always carry er, self-defence tools for outings such as this, in case we bump into stray dogs to say the least.

hi Gtwace, i will confirm on wednesday if i am going. i will bring over 12hrs of light/batts in this case. maybe some snacks or energy drink as well.

i will bring 4 (42cm long) sticks for self defence. does this put u at ease? btw what terrain are we expecting? i am not keen on bush whacking or walking through thick mud.... :sick2: if walking east-wards, we will cross the railway tracks. we will not be totally lost.

walk north- will end up at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve.

walk south- will end up at Holland Rd near Jelita.

there is a huge patch of clearing east of the tracks, but past there are GCBs (rich folks residential area) not wise to be wondering in the woods there. maybe best to walk along the railway tracks in either directions? wad u think of my suggestion? :shrug:

Wow! That would be fun! Hungry Ghost fest, I am hungry to see ghosts! Haven't met one before after all the overnight trips to Pulau Ubin and ghost hunting trips. :naughty:
