Hi all,

afaik there is no HIR H1 lamp, so what do you recommend? I need them for low beams, I use HIR1 for high beam and I must say I am impressed.

Also, what vehicle is this? Most vehicles have inadequate wiring/too much voltage drop on the headlight wiring.

If it's too modern, though, lamp outage indicators and/or DRLs may make adding a relay harness impractical.

The Philips Xtreme Vision (or close second choice the discontinued Philips Xtreme Power can still be found at a nice discount) is the best-performing H1. GE Night Hawk Platinum is another excellent choice, or Osram Night Breaker Plus.

Too bad the Nighthawk Platinum H1 isn't available on Amazon right now, because they have them on sale, AND a $10 rebate, making them less than $10 a pair!

Thanks for answers.
Cars are Subaru impreza 2003 and legacy 2000. I am using Night breaker plus in both, but there is really no comparison between HIR (impreza has HB3 bulbs for high beams, which is a bit unfortunate) and +90/+100 halogen lamps, hence the question - I would prefer HIR-like dipped beams.
Legacy uses H7 for dipped beam, so I am guessing no HIR there either :(

Best H7 would be Osram's #64217 65W Rallye lamp, 2100 lumens...55W is only 1450 lumens.

I agree on the H7 recommendation. Flösser also makes that same H7 (which is an H9 lamp with blacktop and an H7 base).

Excelent, I ordered the osram H7+ from candle power. They should make a difference :)
I am a bit dissapointed regarding nothing better than Nightbreaker/xtreme vision being available for H1 :(
