help with coleman led pure annoying glare

I like to use cut to fit opaque white plastic from milk jugs & fit them inside the globe. Diffuses the light well!


You may mean "translucent". Opaque materials do not allow light to pass through.

"Invisible" tape seems to work pretty well to help diffuse light. I've applied it to the lens of a headlamp that was full of artifacts but then got a nice floody beam after that. It also works well as a diffuser for small LED lanterns.

Well, I tried the frosted glass idea, but taped it off and only did the front half. With my lantern modded to a P4 7C and diffused it is pretty nice. Now if only manufacturers would give us the warm/neutral as an option!

I would *love* to see the finished picture with that P4 7C installed. I've been itching and toying with the idea of getting the twin lantern and putting two P4 7Cs in, but I am so curious to see what that tint flavor looks like in a lantern...
