how to know the true daylight of a day?

like how many hours per day you can not need ya flashlight? i know ya cant go by sunset since its still able to see after sunset.. im still prepareing for the end of the world. im a bit paranoid i know but i rather be over prepared then under

Don't forget you will be sleeping 5-8 hours a day as well. In Reality you would probably need a flashlight for 3-4 hours a day Tops. For setting up once it's dark and early morning. And may a little exploring. A quality flashlight say a malkoff with a L or LL and hi/low ring would last's weeks on one set of batteries. Probably a month easy. We as flashlight folk are way more prepared then we will probably ever need to be. But yes that's a good thing.
