I love Eneloops. I love them. I played with lithium ion batteries for a while years ago but decided that I'm an Eneloop guy. AA and AAA lights suit my needs just fine so every now and again I'll grab a new pack of these rechargeable wonders and motor along. I'm thinking of picking up an Opus BT-C2400 charger to get a better idea of what my cells are doing and maybe recondition ones that have been treated less than humanely. Open to other charger suggestions but from what I've read the Opus does a good job.

I had several "3rd gen" blue eneloops fail on me. Just zero voltage. Maybe they got overdischarged to zero, I don't know.

I have some of the very early ones still running.

I have the C2400 and I'm really happy with it (and my Eneloops). Pretty close to my now defunct LaCrosee charger. I can't believe how long some of my Eneloops have lasted. Some have to be at least a decade. I like the test function that tells you the capacity of the cell. You can keep an eye on which cells may be nearing End of useful Life.
