I've got an iphone plugged into the USB port of my computer so it can charge while I watch tv using a tuner card. At some point during a quiet portion of a show I noticed a pup-pup-pup sound in my headphones. I picked up the phone to unlock it and I heard all sorts of buzzing sounds, and I could even hear my keystrokes as I typed in my phone's password. Launching the phone's email client made a zzzziiip sound on the computer and other apps also produced buzzes, fwips and pops.

I'm not sure if this points to poor USB regulation on my computer or just a lot of EMI coming out of the phone.

It's not just Iphones all phones will interfere, it's the cell phone talking to the tower.

In my experience (with a Motorola Droid X) it is the charging circuit or cigarette lighter to USB adapter that makes a lot of RF noise and interferes with my car radios.
