Hello. I am a researcher working for a television production company. We are setting up an item that requires a laser and are looking for someone to help us out with some equipment/time.

We are looking to pop some black balloons using a blue, violet or ideally UV beam at a distance of 40-60 ft. Keeping the beam and equipment as discreet as possible is important.

The set will be strictly controlled with health and safety being the most important aspect.

Time is quite short on this. Today is Wednesday 13th August. We are looking to fill the spot in the next couple of days. Whoever gets the job will need to be available for a day or two around Saturday 23rd August. And to be able to travel within the US with the required equipment. Probably to Atlanta.

This is a paid position. Rate is negotiable.

Please get in touch if you feel you can help. Or pass this information to someone you think might.

Many thanks.

UV will cause florescence and will be visible. If you want the beam to be invisible, you will have to use IR. Some video cameras may be sensitive to the IR light though, so if you're doing this for a TV show, you'll want to check what it looks like on camera before you film it.
