I lost track of how many Fenix TK20s I purchased back when they were warm white 2AA lights and ideal for camping/hunting/fishing.

I managed to lose the first one - it was the only one with a black handle - the rest had yellow handle grips and were harder to lose. I gave at least one away to a close friend but not sure what happened to the one(s) after that.

If it is a flashlight I will use/carry at work, I always purchase at least 1 "back-up", many times more.

I carry a "back-up" of some in my work bag, and then have "back-ups" for those at home (and many times "back-ups" in my Jeep).

Once I find a flashlight that is dependable, and useful to/for me, I will end up purchasing more than a few of them.

Like most on this Thread I have a lot of duplicates of my lights. I could go way back to the late 80's and talk about having more than one mini mag. LOL Most of my inexpensive lights I make sure and get more than one just in case something does not work with one. I will just say that the ones I remember going out of my way to have a second are:
Surefire E2E
Surefire L4 (really like the wall of light)
Surefire Back up
Elzetta Bones
Elzetta Alpha

MagLite(s), Fenix E01 v2 ; LD12(17), Thrunite AAA, Sofirn IF25a ; SC31Pro ; SP10 v3 ; S11C. Most/many of the "more than 1" listed ended up as gifts but not all

I was going to chime in, but after seeing the extent of the serious commitment some of the community have made to particular lights, my little excesses are not worthy of mention.

i got sucked into the olight craze for a bit, got alot of the same things that ill likely never use just for the looks and potential utilty of them. about 7 i5 aa, 5 baton 3 premium with the case including a few seasons and eternal. 10 obulbs which i love these things, night lights around the house. 2 warriors, but the one lamp that i bought multiples of on purpose for use were olight s30r baton iii, i really like this light. i use this and my zebralight daily for moonlight mode at night, i just switch off beteen the two every couple days.

honestly im almost ashamed of all the olight stuff thats now in my inventory lol.

I was moving and storing some things, when I came upon a couple of crates of my "extra" flashlights. I figured if any group could appreciate them, you all would!

Thanks, that's just what was packed away the crawl space, I have plenty more extras I keep ready to use.

I'll have to get some pictures of some of them.

Yowza. That's what I like about CPF. If I start feeling weird for having a bunch of flashlights around, I just look around the forums and see it isn't just me!!

Regarding the original question, I don't typically duplicate lights except in a couple of rare cases:

Fenix TK20 (x2): a CPF legend, nuff said!

SureFire C2 Centurions (2xblack, 1xgrey): MidwayUSA was clearancing out all the old P60 incan lights and these were a great price! Gave one of the black ones to my brother, kept the other two.

4-Sevens Turbo-X Neutral White (x2): sweet high-output neutral white thrower with programmable 2-mode operation.

My SureFire back-up box and a small box of some favorite flashlights.

The 3 SureFires tail caps belong to the original back-ups I bought to my first SureFires (2 - 6P's and a 9P) in 1995 or 1996, sorry I can't remember which year now.

At the top of the box are some of my spare Malkoff's.
