The 6 flute design is different HOW?
I beleive that my TI PD is a 6 flute unit. Is that good better best?

Don changed to the 8-flute design with the Ti PD-S, saying that it improved grip more - I agree to a certain extent. This has taken the 6-flute design into a "classic" design, and for one reason or another is more desirable/collectible by some.

That said, I don't really prefer one over the other as far as function goes - I do like the look of the 6-flute more, but that's a personal opinion. :D

So your question - good/better/best - not sure if I answered it, but I tried!

1. PD-S

Thats all I need..:poke:
Why do I like Don's flashlights, and why do I have so many?

The short answer is that it is an addiction.

I like the McLux I TK because it is one of Don's earlier designs, and shows a lot of aesthetic sensibility in a simple design of ordinary materials. It is one of my favorites. I very much like the modular design and aesthetics of the Aleph. The 27LT has great utilitarian value in a pleasing body. The McLuxIII T (Ti) has a lot of sentimental value being, to my knowledge, Don's first Ti flashlight offered to the general public (correct me if I am wrong). I recall that Don felt compelled to justify the price. The PD flashlight, by embodying the beauty of simplicity, functionality, visual appeal, and a perfect beam, elevates the art to a new level. The Mule EN is small and lightweight, attractive, and has terrific flood, and is particularly nice with the GDuP LE. I like it a lot better than the black version.

If I could keep only six of the flashlights , I would choose the McLux I Tk, almost any Aleph 3, the McLuxIII T, the McLuxIII PD 24kt gold, a PD Ti S27, and the LunaSol 27.

Which flashlight do I like the least? The HD45.

What would I like to see next? A LunaSol with two levels for the flood LEDs, and two levels for LED using the reflector, each operating independently (for example by the six LEDs operating from a two level clicklie tail and the LED in the middle being a two level twisty). I have no idea whether that light would be technically feasible, or desirable to many, but it sure would serve a lot of purposes.

My one and only is a McGizmo Aleph McClickie-Mule with the black oilcan finish. It is currently empty, waiting on the GDuP driver boards to become available from the Shoppe. It should be sweet once it is done. :D

UH, NO!:nana:

Actually, I wish she was that clueless! Now, every time I try to say we don't need this-or-that, I hear something along the lines of "OK, Mister $250 dollar flashlight man".

Tim

That is until you get a Ti Lunasol Mr $500 flashlight

A man must do what a man must do :D

We can always make up for it later.

What's that saying? Better to ask forgiveness, than permission?

What SWMBO doesn't know won't hurt me! Yeah, she knows about what I spent on a couple, but for the most part lights are like my guns - she knows about them, just not exactly how many I have.
