I was browsing through the Maglite website and saw a Mag LED, what are the difference in the torch itself (not the bulb)? Will these be able to fit FM's 9AA>3D Battery Adapters, and will they be the same for the Mag85 modification? Thanks.

I'd imagine that if they are 3D, they'd be able to fit FM's adapter. Swapping out the bulb would probably be a bit more tricky. I have yet to take a look at a Mag LED, but I'd bet that they do not use the same interface as the popular Mag85 methods (prepotted, bi-pin adapter, etc). I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me will be along shortly.

All the Mag LED difference to Mag Xenon is that a Mag LED PR retrofit bulb (type of bulb that the Xenon uses) is already installed in the light. It even includes a Xenon bulb in the tailcap like the Xenon version does. Everything else is reportedly the same. Reportedly, because I have not verified the dimensions myself, though many people have bought the LED version already.

Do you mean krypton?

Yes, they're all krypton. Xenon are available for purchase seperately.

My 2D Mag LED is dimensionally identical to my 2D kypton.
