Hello, I just purchased a 4D ML300L from Maglite and would like to outfit it with a strike bezel. The only one I could find is on Amazon, a Weltool one for $34. Seems a little pricey. Anyone know of any other good bezels for purchase?

Thanks!

Thing about strike bezels: if you want them for anything other then the looks, you should really go with a steel bezel. Aluminium will bend/break and get chewed up quickly compared to steel. Of cause one can hope to never need to use it in the first place.

IIRC, the old timers would grasp the head of the large Maglites, rest the body on their shoulder, and swing the tail like a bat if required. I don't think "strike bezels" became popular until small CR123 flashlights became the standard.

I don't know if the modern Maglites use thinner aluminum, but I might be more confident in the structural integrity of the tail end versus the head if either were to have a hard impact.
