Moon wise the 7-8 sep appears to be the best option.

I will go check out winter swamp,s ambient lighting tonight. However I still prefer Ditchfield.

Just been out to the swamp. It's not to bad.

It is close enough to Alfredton to get some ambient light from street lights and nearby factory's in Ring road.

There is some noise from those factory's as well. However most of them won't be running on the weekends. My work won't be running however it still makes a considerable amount of noise even when not in production.

The Windmill caravan park is adjacent to the swamp.

Another option could be Burrumbeet caravan park.

Some pics from my annual ski trip to Mt Hotham, taken last weekend. We should have had our flashlight meet up there! For those of you who live in the Northern Hemisphere having a snicker and wonder what the big deal is, getting such nice snowfalls at the start of the winter in a dry desert country like Australia is considered pretty spectacular.

Hotham's basically in my backyard ;)

Not that I've been up there this season - been to both Falls Creek and Mt Buller last week though :)

You were at Buller and Falls in the same week? Serious? Isn't that a bit odd because they a 4hr drive from each other and Buller has no Heli-link lift tickets?

I wanted to drop by Wang and say hi while I was driving along Snow Rd. But my passengers had other ideas as they had to get back to work the next day. The scenery on Snow Rd always makes me slow down and enjoy the drive.

Those photos were taken less than 24 hours apart - and the drive between Falls and Buller via Wang is closer to 6 hours ;)

We always do a postal vote, it is the easiest way to vote.
