Still finding the reflectors........

Just an FYI,

I found the reflectors from the Lumapower triple cree MVP (reviewed by selfbuilt here) work very nice for XML as well. The light is currently out of production, but Lumapower may have some spare reflectors lying around. Perhaps you can source them or use as a template for designing an XML reflector?

Im thinking of using a 7-up xpg board with 7-up khatod optics in a mag. Would the multisink 2 leave enough space to get the optics in behind the lens? Or alternatively extend enough to press the lens against the optics?
Also bit concerned on the hole in the middle as the 7-up board has an led right in the middle i think, anyone done this? The middle led ok?
Thanks.

Just had a look at the Khatod datasheet, the height of the optics once installed on the board is 11.5mm
which will leave 2.5mm for the thickness of the board. I cannot find any measurements for the 7-up board.
I would guess that it will fit but you may not be able to crank the bezel ring all the way down. I am assuming
you are using a Mag D, if your using a Mag C, you have plenty of room.

Your right about the wire holes. The multisink wire hole is right in the middle of the sink and the board holes
are on either side of the center XPG. I would not be comfortable with leaving the center XPG with no heatsinking
behind it.

Thanks Hill & tx101 for the info.

Quest4fire, items were sent. :)

PapaLumen, for the Mag D head is 14mmH, Mag C is 22.5mmH.
If you concern about the hole, would suggest fill with a roll of aluminum foil and thermal compound that would help a little.
:thanks:

Hey download, are you located in the US? I was interested in buying one of your Multi-Sinks for a triple XM-L build I was planning.

Items arrived today! That's about 8-9 days.

Just wanted to note there are a few blemishes and one small dent on the heat sink, but other than that it fits good!

Thanks again download.

Thanks all,

Added a few Tri-XML mirror reflector, it is 18mm height, so it fits Mag C light only.

Sorry, this was probably said, but with the multi-sink bottomed out in a D head, how much room is there for LEDs and optics? I'm wondering if I would be able to fit an XM-L and Ledil Boom (13.6mm).

EDIT: Never mind, found a post in this thread stating that it leaves you 14mm of room in a D head.
