any suggestions for a dedicated red lens flashlight?

(2) AA powered and no features other than on & off AND a factory/ aftermarket red lens.

under 100$ US would be great.

It's not a 2xAA light, but you owe it to yourself to at least take a look at the Eagtac d25lc2 Mini. Insofar as I'm aware, this is the only solid performing red light available. (I've sent you a link to a reputable merchant's product page via private message.)
