I think it's coming up on almost a year since I got my gutted VSS-3. I have calmly waited, hoping to happen across the information needed to fit my housing with something similar to the 1000 watt HID it had from Uncle Sam.
Virtually every day, I check in to see if someone posts anything related.
I am becoming quite desperate. I have in fact learned a lot here.
Can anyone advise me of a MATCHING ballast AND bulb, initially running with either 110VAC or 28 VDC, running about 1000 watts?
And as I think about, since those VSS-3's are now about 20-30 years old, certainly there has been enough advancement in bulbs/ballasts that maybe what once took 1000 watts can now be achieved with less power, and have the same (if not more!) effect (illimination or brightness) . So maybe I don't need quite 1000 watts?
