This might be something to try ... use one of the newer PAR36 LED lamps instead of the incan. Quite a few available on different sites, I bought a pair on eBay & each draws only 12 watts (contains 6 LEDs, each one draws 2 watts). They're brighter than the 50 watt incans I used before but not as bright as a 100 watt bulb.

Battery life would be very long.

Do you have a lamp description or seller name? How much did you pay for the LED PAR36 lamp?
The ones I saw on eBay were a little too much $$ for me to justify trying.

Thanks!

There are lots of choices for PAR36 (AR111) LEDs. Some are designed for use in commercial downlight applications, not sealed or water proof so those weren't considered.

The pair I purchased are flood pattern & each PAR36 enclosure contains 6 x 2 watt emitters for 12 watts total – current draw is 1000 mA at 12 volts. EBay item 281131368661 but be aware that his description is incorrect. Wild guess is around 1000 lumens. He accepted my offer of $45 for each bulb. A similar & perhaps identical bulb is item 321438032141.

Both listings state these are Whelen Truck-Lite 80220 or Grote Trilliant 36 (63821-5) but these bulbs are not equal to the Whelen or Grote. The research I did indicates the 63821-5 "TractorPlus" may be one of the best available choices but the street price is over $100 each. The bulbs I researched need 12-24 volts to run so the M6 body at 18 volts should be a good match.

Excellent info, exactly what I needed to know!
I had been looking for 6 volt LEDs to overdrive with 2x 18650...
Now, to widen my search a bit!

thanks!

Which setup are you using in an M6 body that puts out 18 volts? That sounds unusual.

FM!!! I got my head today... WOW!!!!!!! What a well made product. A perfect finish and an easy hook up. I thought when I ordered this head I was going to have to make parts to hook it up to my M6, but no. Just a P60 spring is all that was needed, I didn't realize. SUPER Thank you again for making these legendary parts man!!! I would say more but I'm nearly out of !!!!!! Marks...

One question I do have is about the bulb itself. I ordered a Philips 5.5v 25 watt for this and when I power it up it works ok, but I see whips of smoke inside the bulb itself. Is that normal, or even anything you've seen before? Maybe I got a dud?
