that looks legit! nice man!

quick question for you paracord wrapping guys: I have a bottle opener that has a vinyl/rubber coated grip and I want to do a paracord wrap on the grip to make it even more comfortable. is it recommended I remove the vinyl/rubber coating or can that stay?

It might be a lot easier to keep the coating and cover it.

yes sir. That's what I was thinking, too, but wasn't sure if you guys concurred. It's a 'grippy' rubber/vinyl so I think you're right. I'm assuming it'll help hold the paracord in place while I'm working on it (it may help that I mention this will be my first paracord project haha).

Is there a name for that knot?
Any tutorials?

I'd like to try that, so far my knot achievements are 5-6 survival bracelets.
I want to improve this (this is the "neat" side)

I used a 'Solomon's sword wrap' for my Mag Shorty...

MagShorty11.jpg

To attach a lanyard, I looped a separate cord underneath, and did the wrap over the lanyard so that it is attached at the top and fed under.

That way it does not pull at the bottom of the wrap. It still hangs from the bottom of the wrap, but cannot pull off the end wrap if you know what I mean...

The end knot is a 'Lanyard knot', and the adjustable slider is a 'Celtic Button Knot'.
