Re: SPY 007 Instruction Manual - a joint CPF effort

There is no "raising or lowering" you just input the power level you want.

Turn light off
Cap off
Turn switch to P4
Cap back on
Turn to 6 while flashing. Pause until solid then click back to p1. It will flash.
Tricky part. Turn back towards p6. The first click is 1 second click is 10 third click for 100 increase. Then turn back one. This increases by 100. Toggle forth and back 8 times to set at 800mA. Then back to P0. Then wait to calibrate.

If you have recommendations or corrections on the manual, please post them here. Maybe a description on how you would explain it!?

Dave - It would be nice to have all the 24 factory settings in the manual

Invisible Frodo - just curious what amps levels did you program your spy 007 too ( I purchased my spy in March, so I am still trying to make a decision)

Re: SPY 007 Instruction Manual - a joint CPF effort

The light comes with the default settings in slot 1. Slot 2,3 and 4 are empty.

You may modify slot one with the PU4 and or reset it with the PU3.

If you change to any slot with PU1 it will copy slot 1 to slot 2,3 and 4. It does this only the first time you PU1. It will never do this again.

So to answer your question the only factory settings are what you get with the calibrate function (PU3).

This applies to rev3 software only.

If you are uncertain what is in your various config slots then you could do the following to reset all of them to a factory cal:

PU1 1
PU3
PU1 2
PU3
PU1 3
PU3
PU1 4
PU3

Well, a year later. Any chance this will be updated for the new SPY 007 sapphire? And while I am at it, is there a loss in performance (other than run time) in using RCR123's vs primaries? Thanks.

Yes there will be a manual for the new 007 Sapphire.

No, it is quite the opposite, you need rechargables to reach the higher power levels.
