There's a boost circuit in them, but I doubt they're current regulated. Likely voltage boost regulator.

Does anyone know what size the threads are for tripod mounting?

No clue the thread pitch for the tripod...it mounts to standard tripod thread pitches tho. I've tried on 2 different ones and they both work (both are mini-tripods tho).

BTW, I received new 1mm x 10mm o-rings from Waion and they work great. No binding at all now, even when twisting fast. And I got them extremely fast...Waion's customer service is amazing. I'm liking the LR5-3W more and more.

The thread for tripods is 1/4-20 (quarter inch, 20 pitch).

Most tripods use that size.
