Hey yuandrew, I dare YOU to ride Kingda Ka in the front row, like I have. :)

Looks like I have quite a few places to add to my checklist of "things to ride."

Cannot stand wooden coasters at all, with all that shaking and being slammed side to side. Smooth steel coasters only for me!

Plenty of reviews and even a coaster forum here.

Scott, your story of someone chickening out reminded me of a similar anecdote. Here it is.

The first time my family went to Raging Waters, many years ago, one of the first slides we saw was this straight chute that whizzed down at about 45 degrees and ended several feet above a pool. It was one of the ones where you don't use an inner tube. My sister and I were extremely unenthusiastic about it, but my dad was all, "come on, we'll all go! It'll be fun! I'll be right there with you!" My sister and I went first, and I found it to be more unpleasant than I had expected  . To add insult to injury, we arrived at the bottom to find that our dad had turned around at the top and gone back down the stairs! :ohgeez:

"I'll be right behind you..." Yeah, right.
