Please add me to this...thank you!
Added to the backup list.

I have the new lathe up and running and with some tuning it is starting to behave nicely.

Man, those look great! Thanks for sharing the pictures...
Always happy to share.

Lookin good! What's the short one?
18500, which is my favorite size. I'm still getting used to the threading arrangement on the new lathe, and rather than waste a bored out body, I cut it down and finished it. Managed to get two gears mixed up, and I didn't check the pitch like I usually do, so I had made too deep a cut to salvage by the time I noticed it looked off.

Oops, forgot to specify..could you please change my driver to H17F please? Cheers!
Done.

I think you changed 'helios' 's by mistake and not mine (helios123) because mine still says Qlite..

Edit: looks good now, cheers!

Done.

If you need a volunteer for a long term test on that 18500, I'm your guy. ;)

Sorry to disappoint but Ladd has already claimed it. There may be more in the meantime if any more oopsies are encountered.

I do have an Aluminum 18500 on hand, however the head alignment is out slightly, so it is thousandth or two high on one side and low on the other.

$225 with a H17F, blue rings and boot.

I have an interested member on it now, waiting to see if he will go through with it. I'll let you know if he doesn't.

Hey Devin,

All the 18500 talk has me way interested. I see my brass 18650 just changed to "in progress", would it be possible to make either that one or my copper that's lower on the list an 18500 instead?

Cheers,
Shane

Yours in the on the lathe at the moment but it is past the point where it can be shortened. You can wait for the next brass one and I'll size it for 18500 or you can have the copper in that size, or both. Whichever you would like I can do.

A note on the 18500s, I like runtime while preserving the ability for occasional use of the 3 amp high. As such I designed the 18500 to accept the 53mm 1700mAh Keeppowers which are protected cells based on a Sanyo cell. Shorter IMRs might require a magnet spacer for a reliable connection.
