What does PDT mean?

Do a search under custom modders thread, specifically vinhnguyen54. It means Premium Dedome Tint.

Rather than get a random tint from whatever comes from taking the dome off your led, Vinh hand picks the tint, choosing a more pleasant color, without the shift towards green or blue. Those more knowledgeable I'm sure will chip in if I've left anything out

Thanks aginthelaw for fielding that question.

Thanks for clearing that up. I read up mostly on the sale threads but didn't see a reference to pdt.

So, at 380k lux, will this light up an orange sign over 1km away?

The K40vn can do 1200 meters without a problem. As far as the orange sign, not 100% sure to be honest, don't want to mislead you, however if it is a reflective sign, then no doubt it will shine. Also, here is a great comparison and beam shots of some amazing throwers including the K40vn lighting up a white sign at 865 meters just shy of 1km. http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb...65-Meter-Beamshots-amp-865-Meter-Lux-Readings
