I wasn't really a fan of the original 005 but this is just so beautiful! Complete class.
I've just ordered a Sapphire 007 so one of these is out of the question at the moment but I really hope to own one in the future.

A quick note for anyone looking at a 005 and on the fence, DO IT! This updated 005 has all the sublime classy appeal of the original, with the durability and heft of titanium, and the improvements in the converter and power. These feel comfortable and appealing in the hand unlike anything else, and the stonewash is superb.
This light has been a continuous companion since the day it arrived, nothing else compares.

After being away from CPF for a while, I stumbled upon this thread and decided to break out my old, original 005 (even has the crow engraved on the battery cap) and see if it still felt as good as it used to. Yada yada, Now I'm waiting for word from Dave about a ti version. FWIW, I never had any issues with the original 005. Got the board upgraded once or twice by Dave to take care of battery drain and I forget what else. Its still plenty of light for most daily applications and great to carry and use.
