This kit won't work with Ultra.
There is no practical Boro lens solution for HP.

just trying to make sense of what i need.

i own a stinger HP.

if i want to upgrade this light, i need:

battery adapter $38
ultrastinger bulb $6

that's it? i don't have to worry about
melting my lens? this seems too good
to be true.

also, i generally use my departments charger
for both my ultrastinger and my HP. it's one
of those that handles up to 6 streamlight
flashlights. will this "new" light be OK in this
charger?

thanks in advance

Okto, you will also need the Pila batteries or AW/Lighthound/Battery station's

batteries and their respective charger to complete the kit. From what I understand you cannot use the stock Streamlight chargers.... You can ck out more on this under Fivemegas links at the top of this thread.

Is there a suitable pack charger small enough to place inside of the Stinger charger as a mod, perhaps? I think the Maha might be, but it'd be a slow charge for two 18650s... safe, and the cells would have a long useful life, but definitely slow.

I'm probably going to just do a C Mag mod, but if there's a way to set up the Stinger with good Li-Ion batteries and charge it without opening it up, that'd be a clincher for me. As it stands, if I have to do any more than simply remove the tailcap to change/charge batteries, I'm going to get tired of screwing with it in very little time.

Got my HP last night and popped in 2 protected 18650's 2200 mAh and it worked like a charm. (no spacers/magnets needed / using the US bulb) After 15 or 20 short uses the us bulb died. Recharged the 18650's and replaced with another us bulb but only got momentary light and then nothing. I guess the AW 18650's aren't the way to go. If anyone has any thoughts I'd be welcome to hear them before I sink another $100 in a pila system.

Hi Fivemega I want to thank you for the Mod and I have a few questions for you please.

I grabbed me a stinger 75000 and grabbed this mod
from you. I have ordered some 600P's to run the CA1499 bulb. You mentioned that Litho123 will have some H1499's. Will those bulbs run off the same batteries? I asked you about a Super Stinger head
for the stinger and you recommended the one above.

My question is will all those different type bulbs fit into the stinger without having to mod it anymore and will those Pilas 600P power them all? Thanks in advance for the advice :)

MuleSkinner, if you want H1499 bulbs, then please read this post by Litho123.
There is no difference between driving the H1499 and the ordinary CA1499. You should be fine with your 600P batteries.
The 1499 bulbs are for use with standard head so I hope you have gotten boro upgrade so the lens doesn't melt.
What bulb(s) are you planing to run with the HP/Super Stinger head?

Super Stinger head will fit in your Stinger without further modification and 2x600P will power it up.
If you need to use Stinger with standard head, 1499 is brightest choice and there is no need of switch modification.
