Hello all,
I just purchased a new Surefire light. Model in the thread title. I find that the light has a greenish tint to it, especially around the hotspot, then gets cooler/more white towards the center. Ive watched a few reviews of it on YouTube, and read a few others that have all mentioned this with this light as well. Ive had two other SF lights: a Titan and a Sidekick for usage as backup/keychain lights and they are decidedly cooler/whiter than the Defender. So are my Nitecore P12GT and SRT3. What makes this difference on the SF Defender? Is it supposed to be a high CRI thing? Ive never owned a high CRI light before, is this something common to them? Ill be honest and say I only know the basics about LEDs as in their basic functioning, but not much beyond that.
