Has anyone used the 2021 CD-ROM version of TurboTax?

I was very disappointed to discover that this year, users apparently have to connect to the Internet before they can use the software.

If you are familiar with this version of the software:
* Was it a very quick, easy activation process?
* Did you have to disable any of your security software?
* Did you have to provide ANY personal information?
* Did you have to create an account on their website?
* Did you ever have to connect to the Internet at any point after the initial activation?
* Does all computation and data storage occur on your computer (rather than online)?
* Is it possible to print tax returns rather than e-filing them?
* Were you able to obtain quick/competent technical support if it was needed?
* Is the state tax return software included on the CD-ROM?
* Are there any other insights you can provide?

Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.

Unfortunately, there are so many negative reviews for the product that it's difficult to know if it's safe to try to activate it -- let alone enter personal/financial information.

I've done my tax online for the last 3 years with Turbotax with no regrets. This year I didn't have to pay to have my taxes done but did have to carefully not opt into some deals that they dangled in front of you and not choose the deluxe version.
