Many users have spoke about the heatsinking issue where, like the magled modules, cannot perform well under extreme heat conditions.
I was wondering, once you've installed say a TLE-5 into a minimag its very doubtful if its ever going to be changed...so why not pot it down with thermal epoxy between the TLE-5's base and the top edge of the maglite body?
yes this will kill the ability to switch on/off the light via bezel, but this can be aided by kroll or the nite-ize clickie. Despite users who claim its vulnerability, water leakage, and short life span I currently have 3 and so far none has given me any problems
so...does the body give added heatsinking or would this "mod" yield no improvment to the assemby?
