Compared to the XML2 PDT would the XPL HI work in this light?

I think I noticed un-annodized threads on the tail end after seeing a review. Isn't that odd for Fenix? Everything I had in the past was anodized.

They do that so the tail cap dual button design would work.

What a great light and I only sold 2 LOL

I guess the price is kinda high. Oh well...If Fenix didn't put so much glue the price wouldn't have been so bad.

46,000 CD is mighty impressive considering that's more than 3x (compared to approx. 2x going to XPL HI) the advertised 14,480 CD, with what, about 25% (if Fenix lumens are not OTF) and only 10% (if Fenix lumens are OTF) increase in max output? Either Fenix substantially understated the light's performance or they didn't fully focus the beam.

is it possible to get more lumens and sacrifice some throw with another led? if a single 18650 won't work.....maybe run 2x18350.
