Just received my two tone EDC from David. Unbelievable craftsmanship on this light. Smaller than I imagined absolutely love it. These are sure to become collectors items. Really can't say enough about the quality and cool factor of this piece. Look forward to what is coming next. Thanks David.

Re: Two Tone Series with XM-L and SST-50

I'd say at $450 bucks it's a steal.
If not a steal, it certainly is a superb light for a good price. My shop is pretty well set up, and I don't believe I could do that amount of machining & sell the product for $450. Ti is slow to machine & tough on tooling ... some shops refuse to run it because it's such a challenge, and it machines so differently from almost everything thing else.

Very nice job :)

Re: Two Tone Series with XM-L and SST-50

Perhaps someone out there with a mathematical bent will calculate the number of configurations that are possible. I remember something about "combinations and permutations" but it just hasn't come up for over forty years so I'm rusty. At any rate, the census of parts is:

small SST-50 head
large XM-L head
18650 body
18350 body
small grip ring
large grip ring
crenelated tail cap
plain tail cap

2 heads * 2 bodies * 2 rings * 2 caps = 2^4 = 16 possible combinations

edit: technically, I suspect you could go with no grip ring... so
2 heads * 2 bodies * 3 rings * 2 caps = 24 possible combinations

Just received my Saltytri brassy EDC, and it looks even better in my hand than it does in pictures, I LOVE IT. Much thanks David.

A couple quick pictures next to my current EDC (McGizmo Haiku);

Yep, hiya Curtis. In fact, the 4-flute APKT end mill that was drop-shipped just arrived and it looks great!

Hi,

It's been a long time since I've been so impressed by a flashlight machining guru

Kudo for the premium work!
