Well, folks, my shop time has plummeted with the arrival of some sunny weather but at least I've been picking away at an interesting project. Here's a roughed-out 123/XM-L light that is half of a pair. The mate is a similar 18650/XM-L.

It's such a shame we don't have a 'Family Picture' of all of David's Two Tone Creations. :(
HEY, wait a minute. I've got a great idea! Why don't
ALL you fortunate owners send me yours (for a couple of days) and I will take some pictures and post them on this thread.
What do you guys think.........:anyone:

Anyone know what the smallest CR123 light he's made length wise? Any in the 3"/3.25" range?

The one shown in post #165 is about 3.7" A bit could be trimmed off. This one has some extra length at the front because it will get crenelations.

And Chauncey, just looking at all those lights in one place makes me tired. That's a lot of late nights! :tired:

Here are the latest in the Two Tone series. This is a sort-of-matched set for an owner who wanted an 18650 and an RCR123 EDC that are similar in appearance. Both use XM-L emitters with three-level drivers. The 18650 draws 2.8A on High and uses a 26mm reflector. The 123 draws 1A and uses an 18mm reflector. Of course, the 18650 has a tighter and brighter beam and the 123 is somewhat more diffuse, though it does have a distinct spot. A single light can do only one thing well, so this new owner has the luxury of being able to pick the right tool for the job at hand!

Two more beauties. I never get tired of seeing your lights. I may have to get with you about a single cr123-rcr123 version...Robert.
