The answer surprised myself...that would be a light I hardly ever use.
DQG Tiny 4th 18650.
* Floody enough for close-up use (though barely)
* Throwy enough for walking (though throwier would be better)
* good runtime
* small / light enough for EDC (though larger than I'd like)
* enough output
* rechargeable (with the right battery)
So...boring but universal tool.
I tend to use stronger and lights, but they are too large for EDC (except Emisar 18350s).
Most of the lights that I use are either throwier or floodier, but this makes them more specialized. The-only light must be a jack of all trades.
Good runtime-to-size and rechargeability (with the right battery) are what settles the pick.
