I'm pretty sure there aren't any 5000's but wanted to check.

Thanks

Panasonic NCR18650GA at 3450/3500mAh the best you can find on the market as far as I know. Panasonic NCR18650G was spec'ed at 3600mAh but seems to be unobtanium.

Might as well consider that a conservative figure is 3400mah for 18650 as likely the battery makers list a range of which the cells should fall in.

Spendy and 69mm long, this protected battery is probably legit but one could probably get 2 GA's for this price. Having two GA batteries is almost twice the capacity and with normal use, negligible when compared one to one.

An easy question, just look at EBay! 100,000,000 mAh.

Seriously -- anybody who says more than 3400-3500 has some proving to do. No, you can't run it down to 2.0V just for a capacity test.

You have to watch the thickness too. Some manufacturers of these higher capacity cells are taking liberties with the "18" part of 18650. The last cells I purchased are the Nitecore 3400 mah and they won't fit in an old Jetbeam I have that is made for 18650s.

Seems the samsungv35e and the lg mj1 have the most capacity real world.
As in from 4.2v down to 3v
But there is little capacity below 3.5v on any of them.
The best leds have a vf of around 2.8v
the tests should be highest capacity down to 3.5v or so.
Btw the samsung 35e are slightly larger in diameter.
Very tight in some surveillance cameras packs i put them in.
Panasonic ncrb fit fine.

From what I've been able to gather, in general the higher the continuous current capability of a 18650 cell, the lower the mAH capacity. There are a lot of manufacturers making outrageous claims regarding continuous current capability, like they consider "continuous" to be 30 seconds or something.

I did find an AceBeam 18650 protected cell rated for 3000 mAH and 15 amps continuous for sale at BatteryJunction, but they won't ship to me via mail or Fedex etc. I found a review of this battery indicating the 15 mAH rating isn't fake, so wanted to buy them but they won't ship to me in Qatar.

AFAIK typical 21700 capacity starts from 4000mAh. So I think 3500mAh for 18650 would be pretty much the upper threshold. I'm not aware of any 3600mAh ones but if Pana does makes one, then I may consider taking a look.
