When My wife and I were married she owned a four year old, four cylinder, 1981 Chevrolet Citation. The only thing I hated more than driving it was wrenching on it. :scowl: It was her first new car, so she really loved it.
I'd have to say the 60s brought out the worst in American autos IF you give Ralph Nader any credence. Detroit tried to jump on the econo car band wagon but didn't do their homework like the Ford Pinto, the Chevy corvair, Chrysler s problems were not so much mechanical but using ?steel? that would start rusting in the showroom if not on the car carrier trains and 18 wheelers delivering them to the dealerships.
